Turn the remuneration package into clear evidence
We distinguish salary from variable cash, deferred awards, benefits and reimbursed expenses. Payslips, award statements and the employment agreement may each cover a different part of the package. A recent appointment or move between countries can alter what has been received and what remains conditional. Larger borrowing also needs a full view of existing liabilities.
Look closely at a joining or relocation package
A one-off payment, repayable award or employer-funded cost should not automatically be treated as recurring income. The terms help explain how much is available and what commitments could arise later.
How I approach the case
We begin with what you want to achieve, your timescale and any part of the case that needs explaining. I review the evidence and suitable lender routes, then explain the available options and their costs. A recommendation follows the individual assessment; an initial conversation does not commit you to an application.
Where legal, tax or other specialist advice is needed, we identify it early so the finance fits the wider transaction. Tell me about any change in employment, borrowing, deposit or property details before proceeding.
What to prepare
- Employment contract and current payslips
- Cash bonus and share-award history
- Vesting and repayment conditions
- Relocation or joining-package details
- Property commitments and wider liabilities
You do not need every document before saying hello. Start with a short outline; detailed or sensitive records should follow through an agreed secure route.
Income acceptance, borrowing amount and term depend on the lender’s individual assessment. Future awards, distributions, business exits or asset growth are not guaranteed. Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments.
Your questions, answered
Are allowances and reimbursements treated alike?
They should be identified separately. Their purpose, terms and regularity determine what a lender is being asked to assess.
Can a new job support an application?
A signed contract can be relevant, but lender requirements and the timing of the first payments must be checked for the actual case.
