Privacy policy
How information is handled on this website
Initial contact
This personal website is operated by Jack Cousins. For a website privacy question, email jack@jackcousins.com. Mortgage and protection advice is provided through Mortgage Force (UK) Ltd, with Lockhart Murphy as a trading style. The applicable firm privacy information is provided for subsequent advice and case administration.
The enquiry form
When you press Send my enquiry, the information you enter is submitted to Netlify Forms so it can be delivered to Jack and retained with the website’s form submissions. Netlify processes the submission, applies spam filtering and sends an email notification. Jack uses the details to respond and consider any requested next steps. Email and WhatsApp remain optional backup routes if website delivery cannot be confirmed.
Calculators and preferences
Calculator inputs are processed in your browser and are not sent to Jack by this site. The theme setting is stored locally as a preference. The pages do not contain advertising pixels, embedded review widgets or an analytics integration.
Website assistant
The automated website guide matches questions with information and links from these pages. Chat messages stay in the current browser tab and are not sent to Jack or to an external AI service. Leaving or reloading the page clears the conversation. It provides general website guidance, not personal financial advice.
Hosting and external services
Netlify hosts the public website and processes form submissions, technical request information, spam checks and email notifications. Following a WhatsApp, booking, Checkmyfile partner or other external link takes you to that provider, which processes information under its own terms. A partner URL may identify that the visit came from this website. The site does not control those services.
Further advice and documents
An initial enquiry does not require identity documents, account numbers or health information. If a regulated advice relationship begins, you will receive the relevant firm disclosures and privacy information, including the use, sharing, retention and legal basis for processing case records. Consultancy is agreed under separate terms.
Your choices and rights
You can ask Jack how information you have sent is being used, request correction or make a privacy enquiry. Applicable data-protection rights depend on the circumstances, and some records may need to be retained for legal or regulatory reasons. You may raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office. This website does not enrol you in marketing by sending an enquiry.
