Match the mortgage to the London property and the way you earn
London buyers and homeowners can face high purchase prices, leasehold costs, service charges, bonus-led pay and short transaction timetables. I bring those details into one assessment: what you want to achieve, how the income is evidenced, where the deposit comes from and whether the property needs additional lender or legal checks. Appointments can begin by phone or video, with secure document sharing agreed only when it is needed.
A London mortgage conversation should include the property as well as the borrower
A modern apartment, period conversion, listed building, home with commercial use or larger property may need different questions. Share the complete listing, tenure, floor plan and any known building or lease information early. For the household budget, include service charges, commuting, childcare and the cash you want to retain after completion—not only the maximum a calculator suggests.
How I approach the case
We begin with what you want to achieve, your timescale and any part of the case that needs explaining. I review the evidence and suitable lender routes, then explain the available options and their costs. A recommendation follows the individual assessment; an initial conversation does not commit you to an application.
Where legal, tax or other specialist advice is needed, we identify it early so the finance fits the wider transaction. Tell me about any change in employment, borrowing, deposit or property details before proceeding.
What to prepare
- Property address or target London area
- Purchase price or current mortgage balance
- Income, bonus and employment evidence
- Deposit or available equity
- Lease, service-charge and building details where relevant
You do not need every document before saying hello. Start with a short outline; detailed or sensitive records should follow through an agreed secure route.
This page describes an area served and does not claim a separate London branch. An initial discussion or agreement in principle is not a mortgage offer, and the lender must still assess the applicant and property.
Your questions, answered
Do you need to be based in my part of London?
No. Jack works from London and can begin by phone or video with clients across the capital. The service-area pages do not claim multiple branch offices. What matters first is the property, your circumstances and whether Jack can assist with the type of finance required.
What London property information should I share early?
Send the full listing or address, tenure, price and anything already known about the lease, service charge, ground rent, building safety, planned works, commercial use or unusual construction. These details can affect both the budget and lender acceptance.
Can you help with a purchase above £1 million?
Yes, that can be discussed. Larger borrowing may need a more detailed view of income, assets, liabilities, repayment method and property. It is not guaranteed and the lender still completes affordability, credit, valuation and legal checks.
