For the life beyond work.

An employee benefit with a personal purpose

Help with the decisions
that come home with them.

A workplace route to advice can make it easier for employees to find a person to talk to when their circumstances change.

Buying a first home

Understand the preparation, deposit, mortgage process and questions to ask before making an offer.

First-time buyer support ↗

Moving or remortgaging

Talk through a home move or the end of a current deal, and compare the relevant next steps.

Reviewing a mortgage ↗

Protecting home & income

Review personal needs alongside sick pay, death-in-service cover and other existing workplace benefits.

Protection conversations ↗

Relocating staff, international employees and people with bonus or variable income can also discuss their circumstances. This benefit provides access to advice; it does not guarantee borrowing, a rate, a saving or insurance acceptance.

Choose a format for your team

A simple contact route.
Or a wider programme.

The right format depends on the size, location and needs of your workforce. Delivery, availability and any charges are agreed before launch.

01 · Direct access

A named advice contact.

Share an agreed contact link through your staff benefits page, onboarding material or internal communications. Employees choose when to get in touch.

02 · Group information

Practical staff sessions.

Discuss an online or workplace session on first homes, remortgaging or mortgage preparation. General information is kept separate from personal advice.

03 · Individual support

Private appointments.

Agree a route to one-to-one conversations. Employees share their circumstances directly with the adviser, outside the employer’s HR process.

A manageable launch

Fit the benefit
around your people.

Begin with the workforce and communication plan. Personal employee records are not needed to scope the programme.

  1. 01

    Understand the team

Discuss approximate headcount, UK or overseas locations, working patterns and the questions staff commonly ask.

  2. 02

    Agree the programme

Confirm the format, delivery dates, employer costs if any, and how employee advice fees will be explained.

  3. 03

    Share the invitation

Use agreed wording and a direct contact route. Employees opt in and remain free to use another adviser.

  4. 04

    Review the delivery

Discuss whether the format is useful. Any reporting must protect confidentiality and avoid identifying individual financial circumstances.

For the employer

Simple administration.

Agree the programme, share the invitation and coordinate any group sessions. You do not assess eligibility or collect mortgage documents.

For the employee

A private conversation.

Contact Jack directly and receive the relevant service and fee disclosures. Payslips, bank statements and medical information do not go through HR for this benefit.

Clear expectations

What employers usually ask.

Is this free for the employer or employee?

There is no blanket promise of a free service. Any employer programme or session charge is agreed before launch. Individual advice fees and relevant lender or insurer commission are explained to the employee before they commit.

Will we see employees’ financial information?

No personal case information is routinely shared with the employer. Employees deal directly with Jack. Any exceptional sharing requires an appropriate basis and clear agreement with the employee.

Can this fit alongside our existing benefits?

Yes, we can discuss how to signpost the service alongside existing benefits. Personal protection conversations take account of relevant sick pay, death-in-service cover and other policies, to help avoid unnecessary overlap.

Can remote or internationally based employees take part?

Tell Jack where your employees live and what support is needed. Phone or video may suit the programme, while the scope of individual advice depends on residence, circumstances and the service available. International mortgage enquiries on this site concern UK property.

Do group sessions include personal recommendations?

No. Group sessions provide general information. Any personal mortgage or protection recommendation requires a separate individual assessment and engagement.

Does using the benefit affect employment?

Taking part is voluntary and the employer should communicate that clearly. Employees can use another adviser or choose not to seek advice.

Who provides the advice?

Jack Cousins is Head of Mortgages at Lockhart Murphy. Mortgage and protection advice is provided through Mortgage Force (UK) Ltd, subject to the scope and disclosures agreed with each employee.
