When this support is useful
You already know the purpose of the meeting or visit, but need someone in the UK to attend, ask agreed questions and organise the follow-up. It can be a single assignment or part of an ongoing project.
What you can ask me to deliver
A meeting brief
The objective, attendees, questions, access arrangements and limits of my role, agreed before attendance.
A factual meeting note
What was discussed or observed, who supplied the information, and anything that still needs confirmation.
A follow-up list
The person responsible for each next action, the requested date and the decisions that need your approval.
Agree the work before it begins
We confirm the objective, deliverables, timetable, reporting arrangements and the person authorised to give instructions. I explain the proposed fee and any agreed travel or third-party costs before you decide whether to proceed. A change in scope needs agreement.
What to prepare
- Purpose of the engagement
- People and locations involved
- Questions and deadlines
- Required reporting and authority limits
Start with a general outline. Detailed financial, identity or confidential transaction documents should follow only through the secure route agreed for your engagement.
Your questions, answered
Can you attend one meeting without an ongoing retainer?
A single meeting or visit can be discussed. The location, preparation, attendance, reporting and any follow-up are scoped together, with availability and fees confirmed before work starts.

The usual role is to communicate an agreed brief and report back. Any proposed negotiation role needs a separately agreed scope. Contracts, commitments and spending decisions stay with you and your authorised advisers.

London is my main base for visits. Work elsewhere in the UK can be discussed, subject to availability, travel and the practical scope. We agree those arrangements before the assignment.
