Separate group-company turnover from personal earnings
A Bahrain resident may be paid by one company while owning shares in another. Map the entities, ownership and actual income receipts. Where a deposit is funded by a business, make the transaction and its effect on the remaining business cash position clear.
Build a useful first-conversation pack
- Simple ownership chart for relevant companies
- Accounts, personal distributions and their bank trail
- Any personal guarantees, business borrowing or ongoing capital commitments
Start with an outline of the purchase price, borrowing required, income and property use. Send detailed personal documents only through the secure route agreed with Jack.
A question specific to this starting point
Can group-company profits all be included as my income?
Not simply because the companies are connected. Ownership, access to profits, accounts and sustainability must be established. The lender may use a narrower income basis than the total profit shown across the group.

Prepare the income evidence
Employed and business-owner applications need different evidence. Salary credits, accounts and personal distributions should be separated, particularly where several group companies are involved.
Make the cross-border preparation specific
A company contribution to your deposit needs to be explained as a lawful distribution, repayment or other documented transaction; company cash is not automatically personal savings.
Planning a £1m+ UK purchase or refinance?
The country and income questions sit alongside the size and nature of the UK property. See £1m+ mortgages, large homes and country estates and complex property types. For a wider wealth or ownership picture, there is also a dedicated UHNW mortgage page.
How I approach the case
We begin with what you want to achieve, your timescale and any part of the case that needs explaining. I review the evidence and suitable lender routes, then explain the available options and their costs. A recommendation follows the individual assessment; an initial conversation does not commit you to an application.
Where legal, tax or other specialist advice is needed, we identify it early so the finance fits the wider transaction. Tell me about any change in employment, borrowing, deposit or property details before proceeding.
What to prepare
- Residence evidence and nationality
- Income in BHD with bank credits
- Deposit source and transfer history
- UK property and intended use
You do not need every document before saying hello. Start with a short outline; detailed or sensitive records should follow through an agreed secure route.
Country and currency acceptance are checked on a case-by-case basis. This page does not imply an office or regulatory authorisation in your country of residence.
Your questions, answered
Does living in this country guarantee access to a UK mortgage?
No. Residence is one part of the assessment, alongside nationality, income, credit background, deposit and property use. The country pages explain how to prepare an enquiry. They do not guarantee lender acceptance or imply local mortgage authorisation.
Link to this answerCan I buy a UK rental property while living abroad?
That is a question we can explore against your circumstances and current lender criteria. Start with the intended tenancy, ownership, property price, deposit and rental estimate. UK and local tax or legal implications need advice from appropriately qualified professionals.
Link to this answerWhat if my plans include returning to the UK?
Tell me the expected timing, intended occupancy and what will happen to your employment and income. Buying a home to live in, buying a rental property and refinancing an existing UK home are different briefs. The application should accurately reflect the intended use and foreseeable changes.
